Beyond Snack Secures $8.3 Million in Series A Funding

Beyond Snack, a Kerala-based snacking brand has successfully raised $8.3 million in a Series A funding round.

The investment was led by 12 Flags Group, a consumer-focused fund established by Rakesh Kapoor, former global CEO of Reckitt Benckiser.

The funding values Beyond Snack at ₹300 crore. Existing investor NAB Ventures participated in this round, along with Japanese VC firm Enrission India Capital and other current investors, including Faad Network.

Manas Madhu, founder of Beyond Snack, outlined the company's plans for utilizing the funds:

  • The brand aims to enter new markets, particularly in southern regions where it currently has no presence.
  • Beyond Snack plans to double its offline distribution from 20,000 to 40,000 outlets by the end of fiscal 2026.
  • The company intends to expand from its current 18-city presence to over 40 cities by fiscal 2026.

Beyond Snack is already established in 20,000 outlets, with half of its business coming from offline sales channels.

The brand gained additional recognition after featuring on Shark Tank India Season 1, securing investment from Ashneer Grover and Aman Gupta.

By the numbers: The size of the savory snack market is likely to increase to over one trillion rupees by the financial year 2026.

Beyond Snack has expanded its presence to 12 countries, aiming to capitalize on the growing global demand for savoury snacks.

The company is set to enter parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu in the coming year, further expanding its presence in South India.

Beyond Snack is also working on enhancing its efficiency and sustainability within the Agri value chain.

The organized market, valued at around ₹423 billion, is dominated by major players like Haldiram, Pepsico (Lay's), ITC (Bingo), Balaji Wafers, and Bikaji Foods International.
