IT giant HCLTech has inked a multi-year deal with OpenAI to help businesses around the world adopt generative AI faster and at scale.
The deets: HCLTech will integrate OpenAI’s powerful models including ChatGPT Enterprise and other APIs across its internal systems and client platforms. That means everything from AI chatbots and automation tools to sector-specific solutions will now run on OpenAI’s tech.
Together, the companies will build and offer services spanning the full AI journey: readiness checks, model integration, deployment at enterprise scale, governance, and change management.
What’s happening internally: HCLTech plans to roll out AI tools to its 223,000+ employees across 60 countries, embedding generative AI into daily operations and workflows.
Big theme: companies across sectors in India are looking to automate processes to improve customer experiences, and unlock new revenue streams. According to Nasscom, the country’s AI market could touch $17 billion by 2027, with generative AI driving a big chunk of that growth.
Startups and IT giants alike are racing to build tools for content creation, code generation, document processing, chatbots, and analytics. Sectors like BFSI, healthcare, e-commerce, and manufacturing are already piloting GenAI solutions to cut costs and speed up decision-making.
